Philanthropy
During the height of the pandemic, Ray Chew, alongside his wife and business partner, Vivian Scott Chew, produced a compelling four-part series on Facebook Live, spotlighting notable artists and personalities. This series not only provided entertainment and inspiration during challenging times but also served a vital purpose: raising funds for the American Federation of Musicians.
Each episode featured engaging discussions and performances, showcasing the talent and resilience of musicians facing unprecedented challenges. With their extensive network, The Chews brought together a diverse array of guests, including celebrated musicians, producers, and industry insiders, who shared their experiences and insights.
Their text-to-give campaign raised funds raised through this initiative that provided much-needed assistance to musicians struggling to navigate the financial fallout from the pandemic, showcasing Chew’s dedication not just to music, but to the welfare of those who create it.

BUILDING BRIDGES WHILE CULTIVATING TALENT
Since 2013, the 501c3 non-profit Power 2 Inspire Foundation has empowered young, aspiring musicians and future leaders in the music industry
We foster opportunities for talented musicians, singers, songwriters, and business executives who share a passion for creating “Music with a Heart”. Through workshops, lectures, and masterclasses, we reinforce the values of preparation and resilience.
While Power 2 Inspire was founded in 2013, during the pandemic in 2020 the Chew’s expanded the program into a major virtual summer mentorship and internship experience for young creatives between the ages of 18-25 interested in pursing a career in the music industry. 6 years later, Power 2 Inspire has become recognized as a meaningful pipeline for emerging music talent – especially young creatives who may not otherwise have had direct industry access.
Two Beats One Soul celebrates and explores the synergies of two cultures by recreating traditional Cuban sounds and rhythms in today’s musical landscape. Music Producer, Ray Chew and Music Executive, Vivian Scott Chew’s mission is to always unify the world through music.
This documentary features a collaboration of R&B, soul, house and reggae with the music of Cuba tying together the cultural fusion. Follow them as they embark on an ambitious two week journey to create an experience far beyond what anyone could have imagined.
In addition to this brilliant documentary, a 13-song album was birthed from this remarkable experience.
Ray Chew stepped into the scripted world by scoring Bishop TD Jakes’s latest installment of the Seven Deadly Sins series on Lifetime, titled Pride. The project also inspired the single Faith and Love by Stephanie Mills, featuring Ray Chew, which is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
